分子链结构中没有不饱和键,所含叔碳原子少,耐候性和热稳定性更优异;商品化POE呈颗粒状,可以直接加入到聚丙烯(PP)等粒状聚合物中,混合更均匀、更快速; 材料透明度高,未交联POE的密度比SBS和EVA低10%~20%;可用过氧化物、硅烷和辐射方法交联,交联POE的热老化及紫外光气候老化性能优于EPR和三元乙丙橡胶(EPDM);较强的熔体强度、剪切敏感性和窄的相对分子质量分布,使材料边缘在加工中不易卷曲且弥补了挤出片材时材料易下垂和难以吹膜的缺陷; 力学性能平衡性与加工性优,一般弹性体门尼粘度低,加工性好,而力学性能差,常用弹性体门尼粘度在20~90之间,而POE的门尼粘度在5~35之间,但力学性能却能和高门尼粘度热塑性丁苯橡胶媲美。

Cross linking with radiation methods, the thermal aging and ultraviolet light climate aging properties of cross linked POE are better than EPR and three proactive ethylene propylene rubber (EPDM). Strong melt strength, shear sensitivity and narrow relative molecular mass distribution make the edge of the material not easy to curl in processing and make up for the defects of the material easily drooping and difficult to blow film when extruding the sheet. The performance balance and processing property are excellent, the ordinary elastomer Mooney viscosity is low, the machinability is good, but the mechanical property is poor, the commonly used elastomer Mooney viscosity is between 20~90, and the Mooney viscosity of POE is between 5~35, but the mechanical properties can be compared to the high Mooney viscosity thermoplastic styrene butadiene rubber.
